Default ok that dw dune shootout was the biggest load of crap iv herd the z400 wins...

the z400 they say right off the start has the least power and least power and then it wins. I mean whats the deal with that
in my opinion the shee is the dune king fallowed by a rap or a ds but a little 400 wins
and for fun factor they were like the shee is the least fun because its hard to ride
i just think they've forgoton how to ride 2strokes nothing against the Z400 its a great quad but i don't think just becuase its the newest it should win a dunes shootout where power is important jmo what do you guys think

I agree.

The same thing happend a couple of years ago when the Raptor came out. The 400ex was always given the nod for having the best suspension and handleing characteristics, but the Raptor aways won because it had the most power and was good in the suspension department too. It would be like the the 400ex still winning over the overpowering Raptor.

And the Praire 650 wins the shootouts because of it engine/power even though the Griz & Sportsman are better suspended.

So what gives DW?? Is it power or price that drives your decisions?? Especially now that the Raptors are discounted almost to the price if a Z400.

or ya like i think the shee ended up being like 400 dollers more and it would have way more power
i don't know i just don't think the shee gets what it deservs and its always whats new if you looked back when the 400ex first came out it was all oh lots of power and great handling but it was new so it wins now as time has gone by the 400ex isn't really that great powerwise expecially in the dunes seems to me whatevers new wins the next winner is going to be the pred with its 10 page color ads

I dont listen to dirtwheels anymore. They get paid off soooo bad. The fact of the matter is they r probably getting flack from the epa for backing two strokes. So instead of getting crap from epa they start raving about 4 strokes and how much better they r than everything else. Nothing is as it seems.

The Z won because,

It's the least expensive. It handles as well or better than the others. It's as light or lighter than all the others, easy to manipulate in the air.

They state right off the bat about their results based on fun factor. Pipe jets and filters apparently wake up the Z like it does for the Raptor. So it has enough power to be fun in the dunes and is less expensive than the rest.

No one can please evryone. I don't have to agree with it and neither does anyone else.

A more lagitimate complaint would be the individual test results.

Such as,
1. High speed cornering. They gave that to the Banshee. I'll take length and width any day. DS wins
2. Usable power. Raptor comes in 1st, I agree with that. Z comes in 2nd I disagree, The DS or Cdale would be my #2.
3. Motor snappiness, Raptor wins, Come on, nothing snaps more than a Banshee.
4. Whoop de doos, Cdale, Raptor then DS. I can see Cdale because of Suspension. The DS takes 1st or 2nd in my book. (once again, length and width)
5. Stability, they give to the Banshee, Once again I'll take length and width with the DS.
6. Best value. Z, Shee, Rap, Ds, Cdale. They went with price here. I'll take the Rap 1st, power, and decent at everything else for $800.00 more. JMO

Think about what u just said. In the high performance shootout it beat the 400ex and c dale. Now the cdale handled better, is lighter, and had more power but lost the high performance shoot out. The z won for being low price( who cares about price in a high performance shootout, we just wanna know the best bike) and for being user friendly and easy to ride, ( since when is the best and fastest machine the easiest to ride) Its a crock of monkey ***** is all. Dirtwheels is getting paid from someone

The thing that really makes you wonder is how the cannondale didnt get best suspension and handling when it has top of the line ohlins shocks and it 50 inches wide with a seat height of 29 inchs.....maybe the ds would have plusher suspension but still!
