Cool, looks like if 2 people are on at the same time, you can chat with this new Buddy Messenger. Just click it, and click on "add a buddy" add someone, and you can talk, just like AIM. That's awesome, Pm's back and forth was getting old. Thanks Moderator dudes!

Oh, dammit, it's not what I thought, you can't instant message. It's just a new fancy way to PM. Hey Moderators, why don't we get a little IM thingy in here, like AOL instant messenger?

IM's usually require a special software download...they don't work via web pages....but it might be something I could look at.... If the other person is online you'll likely get a reply in just a few minutes anyway.

That's an awesome new feature! Now I'll work on getting some buddies

We can always PM in the chat area, though, right? I just discovered the chat room tonight.

Sorry to hear about your drawers, Chet. At least you tried, though

Aol has a web based Instant Messenger now. It's called Aol Quick Buddy
So there is a possibility to integrate something along those lines without having to download software.

Right! The chat room is open 7X24. You can always chat realtime in the chat room!

The Buddy Messenger is intended to let you know when you have a PM and to provide a quick way to view them. It also offers a quicker way to send PMs than going to the PM section of the forums every time. Its not really meant to be a IM tool.
