Why do they say 10 less ponies? who would make a 24 hp pure sport machine? a 400ex would smoke it...... About 30hp even sounds right.

heck why not make it have 35 hp or 40 if polaris can get over 40hp on a 500cc engine why doesn't yamaha not detune the engine so much and make it have atleast 35 or more that would be kewl...

I know, it seems that ATVing is getting bigger then ever and the 440cc pro-production class was the big "to do" in GNCC this year. MGFshould take the hint and run with it........ If "we", the littles guys, can sit here and see this why can't "THEY?"

What gives?

If they made it more than about 32 hp it would beat a Raptor, and they cant have that can they? since the raptor costs more. Maybe we will get lucky and they will bump the raptor up to about 50 and make the new one around 40.

I personally would like to see them do something like putting a bigger powerplant in their wolverine instead. The 350 is the only thing holding it back from being the best sport-ute out there. And it would be more fun to ride.

Ok..this might sound like a dumb question..but why hasnt many ATV manufacturers put street bike motors in the ATVs? Is it the powerband..how you gotta rev em so high..or size maybe?? just curious!

Most likley the gearing for a street bike. And also they are too heavy and way to fast for a quad IMO.

The law suits, complexity (dislike of off road), and they are probably making more money by us paying a lot for low tech simple engines.
