770's and 727's
Where are they at?? I never see anybody on here talk about owning a 770. There are not a lot of 727's on here either. I am headed back to stock bore myself. I think i can run just the same or alittle faster on a stock bore. I have a few ideas on a stock bore that i want to try. Any raptor out there want to trade a stock bore cyclinder even up for a +2mm cyclinder and a 12-1 piston with a new set of rings even up?? I will throw in a head gasket also. I seen seen mine and many other motors torn down. Going +5mm looks to much for the long term to me. The only fast 727 that i have seen so far belonged to mark Robertson. I belive that i can make a quad run like that one. (It was by far the fastest raptor i have seen to date) I have been all over and seen and run many built machines in different parts of the country. I would like to see the latest Robertson 727 (zombies) It should produce quite a few more HP than the original robertson version, due to ongoing R@D. So where are the big boys hiding?? I would have thought that Glamis at Thanksgiving would have had the BIG BORES out playing. If they were out there they would have been playing.

No you can't.The only differance is being able to open up the shrouding around the valves with a +2mm bore. Weather this makes a big differance or not I can't say, but if you could see how big the lip around the valves is, you would probably think it would make a big addition to power. JMHO
What is the weight differance between a +2 piston and a stock bore piston, both with the same comp. ratio, anybody have a clue?

Hello All, I'm a long time reader and just joined today because I am wanting to do a 727 build on my 02 Raptor and seen this topic. Who is this Robertson and who built his motor? Also who is the Zombie and what kind of horsepower will his machine be putting out. Are the Machines reliable? Did they use a Carillo Rod?
If someone can help me out, I would appreciate it.
PS. I love these forums they are the best, thanks for your help.

727wanter- Robertson and Zoombie live in nebraska. Robertson has a shop. i believe that he also races pro-stock drag bikes. His personal 727 had all the goodies and a pair of fcr's. I believe that he dynoes 64 real world HP or about 90hp on some other dyno's. Do not get to caught up in dyno numbers. I had a 686 that was suppose to make 63hp and i only made 44. My newest version makes 58.6 on a dyno jet dyno. (that was in beenbrook TX)
