Default Banshee aftermarket plastics

I am looking into getting some new plastics for my shee. I've seen some plastics that are shaped a little wierd. Mostly in the rear. How do maier look? I think that i have maier on mine. Does anyone know the brand of the weird looking ones?
Thanks

I believe that the "Weird" looking plastic that you are talking about is Full Bore. It is a little different looking than the traditional Banshee plastic, but I think that it looks great. Maier is fairly good. It's a much cheaper alternative to OEM plastic. I have maier front plastics and it looks nice. Sometimes it just takes a little patience, and slight fabricating to get it to fit "perfect".

UFO plastics are the way to go. They are made in Yamaha molds with the same material Yami uses, but are sold much cheaper.

UFO are exact factory replicas. If you have a blue UFO next to a new blue yamaha, you couldn't tell the difference. I have UFO's white on the TT bike. I had to cut the fenders (not very hard). The good part about UFO is since they are just like factory, they already have the bolt holes drilled. You don't have to drill them like you do the Maiers. The rears have a couple of holes that hold the foot gaurds on that you probably won't use though. Your bike didn't have the gaurds from the factory and most people take them off anyway. Until recently, Maier plastics were an ugly dull tone. I haven't seen any of the new ones, but I hear they are now shiny. It took them long enough!

That sucks that you have to drill holes in maier plastics, but i can only find blue, white, and black in UFO plastics. I am really looking for silver(really gray, but maier calls it silver) plastics with race cut front. And only maier has that color.
O well, thanks for the info, looks like i might have to drill holes.

The only problem that I had putting on my maier plastic in the front was the gas tank cover's. The stock plastic is a one piece cover, and the maier plastic comes in two pieces. It's really not a big deal, but it is something that you expect to fit a little better than it does. Just my opinion! Good luck.
