03 Grizz Headlight prob!!!!
#1
Hello all,
I was out riding around in the snow this evening when my lights suddenly went out. Upon further inspection, I noticed that the bulbs were laying at the bottom of the headlight. Both bulbs appeared to fall out at the exact same time! When I took the bulb cover off, I could see that the silver lip had either melted or snapped off some how. So right now, both bulbs are laying at the bottom of each headlight. Any easy way to get the bulbs out!? Anyone else have this problem?
Any info is appreciated,
Thanks in advance,
-Jeff

Grizzly Headlights are shooting like dove hunters on opening day!!!
I just replaced my 5th headlight bulb an hour ago! My 03' Grizzly is a month and a half old with 101 miles on it. I don't know the solution to the problem but you better believe I am going to find out!!! I haven't had time to drop my quad off at the local dealer for an extended stay (usually a week for anything as minor as a flat or HEADLIGHT REPLACEMENT) I have just been changing the darn things myself at $13.50 a pop. No more.
All of mine have ever so conveinently ended up in the bottom of the headlight lens also. I have become a pro at changing these things out. You have to take the the headlight assembly out. There are 3 screws, all on the back side of the headlight. One is on the left side of the black plastic headlight housing and one is on the right side of the black headlight housing. The last one is on the bottom of the black healight housing. (Tip: you will need one of those neat little specialty compact 45 degree angle ratcheting screwdrivers commonly found at Sears or you can always use a philips screwdriver bit in conjunction with the appropriate sized box end wrench.)
There is a screw directly below the lamp assembly in the front-- YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REMOVE IT. It is only an adjustment screw for aiming the headlight.
Hope it helps,
Deezee

on my warrior, i had that happen to me the day that I got it. I just took off the light, and took a soldering iron and soldered it to the bracket that holds it there. Havent had the problem since.

Thank you so much!
I will venture out into the garage here in a few mins to get at that.
Do I absolutely need that 45 degree tool to remove that screw, or can I manage otherwise?

Woohoo!!
Finally got them fixed. Had to use my tiny fingers and a phillips screwdriver bit
Let's hope it holds up for more than a month this time
