Dyno Jet VS Mikuni Jets
Mitch has the same GYTR kit and jet sizes as you? I'm realy not knowledgeable enough about jetting to be able to be sure I'm giving you correct aswers. Gorman is what? 4000 feet or so? If it ran good up there but does not run right down lower then like Mitch said you need to go bigger on the jets for lower altitude like Glamis and the desert at 500' or less altitude. Did Mitch check the float levels etc when you guys had it apart?

IMO, you can't go by the chart. It basicaly says so itself. Dyno jets needles are tapered and will flow more fuel. Dyno jet numbers are in reference to hole size. Mikunis are in reference to the amount of fuel they flow. Personaly the chart makes no sense. Dyno jet 146/148 is lees than stock 140/145 according to the chart. People asked, it was shown.

I wish somebody would correct the chart, its backwards, it has to be. If Dyno jet recommends using approx 146-148 for mild air box mods with or without a pipe, then how can that translate to smaller Mikuni mains than the ones used as stock? In other words that would translate into Mikuni main jets smaller than Mikuni 140, huhhhhhhhhhhhh.....
Experience has told me the chart is backwards, JMO!

I tried emailing Dyno jet one time to ask them what the CC's of their jets were. Mikunis are marked to the cc's of fuel they flow. The representative told me somthing to the affect they don't measure the CC's?? I thought, how can they make a jet if they don't know how much fuel it flows at full open and anywhere in between. jmo
