Default Need Warrior Tires and Rims for snow

I was thinking that I just need a set of rims and tires for the back, but I didn't want to spend a lot since I would only use them 5-6 times a year. I searched around for some ideas on good brands, but what do you guys use in the snow?

What size tires do I need?

Anyone selling any used tires or rims?

Scott

You sound like me, in regards to that I have itp steel rims w/ pure sports Realtor on mine. Those tires are awesome I can throw a 20' roost and go just about anywhere. The only problem is that if you ride w/ others you will be way out in front or last because of all the snow, rocks, ect.. that those tires throw up!! The only choice in snow tires for me!!

I put maxxis sut tracs on mine and they are great for the snow.
Probably a little less expensive than the realtors. ($45 a piece)

for rims i would go with aluminum just because of less weight.

I would keep the stock rims, yes they are heavier but are alot stonger than aluminuim ones. I would really look into realtors, they are a little more money but u can flip them around for different types of riding terrain. They probably run about 60 bucks a pop.

I just got back from vermont and I had the stock tires on it. The quad went about 10 feet before the back started peeling out and just sunk into the snow. Scratch that Idea. Maybe next time I will get the tires. How deep of snow have you ran them in?

we had about 6-8 inches and in some spots it would pull the front wheells up because I had so much traction. Especially going up some steep hills!

I run stocker rims with Carlisle Stryker's there alot like the old wooly boogers and there fairly cheap and get good traction in the snow
