How fast will a Warrior Go?
#11
Just for the record I have a 2001 Warrior & live near a small 7/10 mile Airport which I sneak onto sometimes at night. I have tested my 01' machine running with a 92' Firebird & the 13 tooth stock front sprocket turned a 60 mph top speed after going far enough to be sure that was all I could do. I tried the same run but with a 15 tooth front sprocket & had a friend on a Street/Trail 350 Suzuki Bike & he claimed I topped out at 80. I don't know if the 80 mph could be all true or not but I do know I was in the wind like I'd not been & it actually felt light & dangerous so I'm fairly sure I was toppin 75 atleast. FYI: The 15 tooth sprocket isn't as peppy as the 13 & took alot longer to top out with but didn't wind the engine so tight & hard.

I bought my sproket from rocky mountain ATV, I put on a new chain at the same time, but its same size as stock chain. I cant really tell any difference, but I also almost doubled my engines power so Its not a very good for comparison.

I don't remember the price of the 15 tooth sprocket exactly but the front sprockets aren't expensive at all. I think I paid between 15 & 20 bucks for mine. There's no problem finding the 15's with about any serious ATV aftermarket dealer. James Lucky,Dennis Kirk,Chapparel,Golden West Cycle,Rocky Mountain ATV or basically anyone you care to deal with. Just for the record I'm running a 10 tooth sprocket up front on my Warrior for wintertime rides. Definitly not a speedy ride(30 mph tops I think) but it's a good deal in cold & snowy conditions & makes the clutchin smoother.
