Mine went on my Rap about 3 weeks after I got it. The bolts actualy fell out and into the case. Yamaha stood behind it and paid for the fix.

Yep, definately a trouble area for the Raptor. WHen the 1-way assembly does go out, it sends a thousand fine particles through your engine...these particles are form the spring inside the 1-way assembly that break so often. SO, when you are cranking the engine over, if the starter seems too "free-wheel" and then slam in...turning the engine over, or you hear a load grinding noise, the problem needs too be addressed immediately. Mine has been replaced once by Yamaha (parts only...I changed it out) when out of warranty. I try not too start the engine while in gear, because the clutch drags on the rap adding more pressure on the 1-way assembly and this increases the likelyhood that the engine could kick back when the engine is turning over more slowly...again, adding more pressure on the 1-way assembly.
