Raptor chain set-up with an extended swing arm. ?
I'm in the process of getting my swing arm extended by 3". To the guys that are running extended swing-arms - do the chains come long enough (using one master link) or will I need to piece it together using two masterlinks and a chunk of chain ?? I'll be running a 13/40 sprocket combo.

Fisher...you need to buy a new chain that is long enough, and it will come with a master link. With a 4.5" extended swingarm I was running a 106 link chain. Find out from the manufacturer(or place you ordered it from) what they recommend for your setup..or I'm sure someone with a 3" swingarm will chime in and let you know what you need. I'm guessing you will need a 100 link chain.

You are going to use either a D.I.D. or a Sidewinder chain.
The D.I.D. chain is called a 520ATV and the part # is P520ATV-L130 you definately want this chain set up because the Raptor has way to much torque for a regular 520 chain. If you are stretching chains or wrecking sprockets this is the reason!
I have posted this a few times and everyone that has used this chain has been totally happy.
I would also recommend the Sidewinder titanium sprockets!
You will probably have trouble finding the D.I.D. chain because there are very few dealers that carry that particular chain.
You can go on D.I.D.'s web sight and maybe find a dealer close to you or call them.
You can also use Sidewinder"s titanium chain and you can order that direct from Sidewinder.
If you have more questions or if you want me to get the chain for you I have a couple of each on hand.
This is the chain I run on both my Rappys.
