HMF, been on for over 12 months now, first on my 01 now on my 02, best bang for the buck, matches the GYT-R pipe on my buddies 02.

 

A slip on is all you realy need to get good gains. As for the best bang for the buck for complete pipes, it would have to be Alba. With Alba you get their needles, their reccomended pilot and main jets sizes. A pro design foam or K&N filter with flange. Your choice of race tip, which is loud or the disk style like what I have that is not that loud. All that for $500 and change. Add all of it up and you won't get everything I mention for less anywhere else.

Don't let anyone tell you that Alba pipes are junk. They are not. I have an 11;1 piston and Hotcam stage 1 and the complete Alba pipe and I dynoed at 53hp at 4SW's. Similar number as to what most of the Trinity 686's dynoed at the same weekend.

Just about any pipe will give you better gains over stock. Choose what you like.

maybe its not my pipe, and more the fact that i have a wednesday raptor...i have ridden a few and i must say... i like the yoshi... **** i like the yoshi **** u may not, if ur not lookin for huge power, buy whatever is the cheapest, or whatever one u want...in the end they all to the same thing...


but if i where to buy a new pipe i would get a MBRP pipe....all i hear about that pipe that it RIPS!

 

I thought the Alba pipe was very heavy?

 

I would say CT, Trinity or Graydon.

 

I had the Graydon before the DMC Alien and the Graydon didn't pull any harder then the Alien I feel the Alien s a smoother pipe then the Graydon but both of these pipes kill the Yoshi by far

 

take a look at the curtis sparks exhaust it has good power he was named the engine builder of the year last year and his bikes won the 4 stroke quad wars the last 2 year that is his raptor 690 i have done the kit and it flies but the exhaust really is good

 

The Alba pipe weighs less than stock. By a pound or two.

 

Here the scoop from Dirt wheels, the alba pipe is Lead .29 of a pound less than the stock boat anchor.
I hear they rust after about a year also because theyare steel, the bill's pipe and some other take of 5 punds off your stock weight, I would love to lose 5 pounds. Fo the money these cost stainless is the only investment for my machine.

It sounds like you really have a lot of bad things to say about the alba pipe, if you don't like it don't buy it. Out of all the pipes on your dirtwheels list the alba is the least expensive that's one of the things you asked about. I rode Pats raptor with the DMC alien and I noticed quite a bit of difference from my alba piped raptor his was clearly faster. Granted it seems that my raptor wasn't jetted right but still his DMC alien pipe clearly outrevved and out ran my ALBA piped raptor. So it's up to you if you want a pipe that is faster than an Alba pipe your going to have to spend some extra cash.
