Default cut wires, won't start

i don't know much about quads, so this may sound unclear... I was out at the badlands when the front of my 2003 yamaha blaster was hit. i was not sure why it would not start after this, but i tried to kick it over well over a hundered times, also trying to pull start it. I just discovered that under my headlight four wires out of eight were cut that go to a black box. i spliced the wires back together, but still won't start. Any suggestions?
