My sons is polish and ported head, 28mm carb. Vito's high compression gasket kit, stock gearing, ITP 20X11X10 on the rear. Oh yea FMF pipe.

Just depends on how good a rider he is and you are. It will be close if that is all you do to the blaster. Put a pipe, jet kit and a Vito's advance degree key. You should take him.

I put a Warrior under in a race. I beat him he beat me. It kept going like that for about 6 races
He had a pipe and a K&N I think that's it oh and holeshots or something like them.
Get a larger sprocket for the front it increased my top speed a little bit.
But I've buried 300ex's with head pipe, silencer, filter, jet kit and tires. They are no problem
And after my 240 big bore and the diet I'm on hehe we'll see what else I can out run.
I like the blaster because it's small and weighs nothing. Easy to throw around in the trails
and not big and gaudy!

my 2 cents

Mike

and everyone underestimates the blaster too.
When my friend got his 400ex he told me he'd wait up for me in the trails.
But he was pretty surprised when I was right there with
him the whole time. Sure in the fields he just walks away on me
but in the trails it all comes down to how well you know your
bike.

Exactly Ernie, I mean I bought my quad in 98 Brand new
3000.00 so far I've put about 900.00 into my blaster and I still have
about 1,400.00 to go (works shocks 800.00 and big bore 600.00)
and then I'll have a quad that you don't see around very often. Something
unique and I'll be able to give alot of other larger more expensive quads
a run for their money.
