I agree that you should always go to the dealership to haggle, the salesmen get a dozen phone calls a day with people wanting to haggle over a price, and usually its all for nothing because 90% of people dont ever show up at the dealership. If you dont like the price and are not in a hurry just walk away, there will always be another bike at another dealership. Always low-ball the dealership with your first offer so that you will have room to negoiate, if you give the salesman your bottom line price right off from the beginning then you have no place but to go up on the price when the dealer makes a counter offer. Also it is always better to buy at the end of the month when everyone is trying to make their quotas, they will be more motivated to haggle. One last thing if possible try and find out who the newest and most inexperienced salesman is at the dealership, as they are often eager to sell and try and look good to managemant. I am working on a deal now that I believe will work out where I will pick up a 03 black/red Raptor for 5499 OTD on Feb 8th.
