I have some pics of the Turbo Rap that I took today at the shop [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
The cause of the problem was the bike's NOS activation is set to activate at full throttle (switch at the twist throttle). The Raptor720 kept on the throttle while shifting through the whoops. The NOS was on when the clutch was pulled and a blast of NOS entered the chamber, backfired, and blew out the diaphrams in the stock carbs. It made over 100hp on the dyno. FSW's was its first run. It was predictable that there would be problems on the first test ride. But they brought it out anyway and it is fixed and ready for round two [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Blue- Who's quad was it?? Raptor 720?? Raptorboy673 had that exact same problem when he shot 40hp to it at atoka.

That quad did not look like it had the engineering that scooby has spent 3 years doing to get 119HP

Was that the turbo that was in dirt wheels a few months bad?? Vlnrk (turbo Bobby) had a turbo raptor at atoka for a while. I am not sure he ever got it dialed in right. I think that he bolted it up to his buddys raptor after (vlnrk) lost 2nd gear on his. The 300 foot times were not that impressive to me at atoka for the cost.

you know why i like sparks?

its beacuse it either takes alot of nos and luck, or a turbo and some luck to beat his naturally aspirated bikes.

and who cares how much the rider weighs. you could add 75lbs of lead to his raptor and its closest competion would probably be his 465.

give credit where it is due and forget the rest

Does the turbo have a trinity 727? What was the PSI. And what did it dyno???

727, with NOS to help spool up the turbo [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] over 100hp. forgot what exact hp but it was just below skoobies bike. Raptor720 said it was a handfull and the +6 swingarm was too short.

Wsrdskn- That is a good idea. He will put the hurt on some unsupecting rappies i am sure.


Back to the turbo for a minute. If it was close to scooby's HP they did it without heavy duty parts. It looked like the factory headpipe, factory carbs (most go to fcr's around 60hp) and with a intercooler mounted sideways and small at the back of the bike. Scooby has fuel injection, intercoler, coustom this and custom that and 2 years to get it to work right. Hopefully they will get that Raptor dialed in less time.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] If that were my turbo i would work to get it dialed into 85hp.
