Kodiak oil filter
Yeah I know what you mean, the filters are expensive. There has got to be a filter you can buy at the local auto parts store that would work. I have seen some alternative filters for the Grizzly and Raptor posted by others on this forum, not sure if any of those filters would work or not. I haven't seen anybody post anything about the Kodiak filter as of yet.

Kodiak oil filter
I use Yamaha, 12 bucks American sounds like a rip off! I only pay that Canadian.
I got a question for you kodiak owners though, How do you get it off?? The 2 that i've changed so far I ended up having to stick a screw driver through them and turn it out that way. There is no room for fingers little lone hands! This makes a big mess because all of the oil in the filter runs all over the motor. Do they make those caps for the end of the filter? then i could put an extention on that and turn it out.
Please help!
BTW i got my new water pump and choke cable, what a convenience!!
