Small toy hauler or travel trailer??
14mins, I was in the same situation - I want to be able to haul 2 quads but also want something I can be reasonably comfortable in with me the wife and the kid. I also didn't want to have to spend $45,000 on a truck to pull a $15,000 trailer. I bought a new F150 that I got pretty cheap and it tows my 21' Tahoe Lite travel trailer fine. For me the problem with the small toy haulers is that they weigh a lot more than a TT and there is less living space and most of the time it's just me with 1 quad which goes in the bed of the truck.
So for a small trailer I say get a TT and put the quads in the truck bed. If you were able to go to a larger trailer then a toy hauler makes more sense.
I'm happy with my Thor Tahoe Lite by the way but 1t could use a bigger fresh water tank though.

Small toy hauler or travel trailer??
we can fit 4 quads in my brothers 16ft inclosed trailer, standing them up
only 2 if we ride them in,he got it around $1500 in good shape
we seen a guy pull up one time,
he had a (20-24) foot trailer,not sure.
they pulled 10,yes 10 quads out of that thing.
we walked over to look and the guy had them all standing up...........

Ridered- That sounds like rodsquad coming back from a atv action. I think he had 11 rides in his truck/trailer one day.
Wyodyner- Thanks for the advise. I would rather have a TT instead of a toy hauler. BUT as soon as i do that my wife and kid will decide to go with me every time there after. LOL So now i am going to get a small toy hauler that can haul 2 quads and put one in the back of the truck. THEN they will never go with me. lol
I do need a enclosed cargo trailer for the next year for some of the things i need to do work wise, I have thought about doing a little customizing on one. The only problem is that i really want a toliet. Tired of crapping in the sand dunes.

Small toy hauler or travel trailer??
14mins,
I couldn't/wouldn't afford a toy hauler, but am getting too old/fat/lazy/tired of sand duning in a tent (Wife & baby don't help the situation either)
SO here's what I did... found a nice 5th wheel TT, with a large rear living room area... cut the Left Rear window out, made a ramp and Viola! Room for 2 quads, enclosed, secure, and VERY affordable.
(I paid $7k for the trailer, and about another $200 in materials for the construction of the ramp/door)
Been using it now for 2 years.... and it's great! Shower, microwave, TV.... all the comforts of home, and for a very reasonable price!
Be careful about committing to just 2 quads... I'll have to get creative to get a 3rd on my setup... and as soon as my son is old enough... they'll be an external rack off the back bumper to haul his toy.
Love to have one of the big toy haulers, but not for the $$$ Guess I'm just a very resourceful cheapskate!
