Small toy hauler or travel trailer??
Something that nobody has really mentioned is the tow vehicle to pull the trailer around with. That was the issue for me. Unless you have a 3/4 ton truck with a diesel your options become a LOT more limited. I had a Toyota Tacoma and knew that wasn't going to pull much of anything so I knew I had to upgrade to a new truck but I just couldn't see spending around $40K for a new diesel. I bought an F150 with the biggest engine it came with and it does OK but I could never comfortably pull a regular sized toy hauller with a couple quads with it on a long trip and I wanted more living space that a small toy hauller could offer.
Short version - your truck will determine what you can pull. Oh, don't listen to truck or trailer dealers because according to most of them any truck will pull any trailer.

Wyo, you bring up a good point. I dont know much about them, but I know that warrior and some others are building some light versions of trailers now.
And you are right, most dealers will tell you anything to get the sale. I have seen a tundra with a fifth wheel hooked up to it before. It was not a huge fifth wheel, but large enough for me to say that is just not right. I would bet everything I own he was overloaded.
