Default carb problems, PLEASE HELP

i have a '95 yamaha timberwolf, .020 wiseco piston, K&n jet kit, k&n filter, dg pipe, and a custom 2" pvc air breather. at wide open it runs a little rich and i know how to fix that but around 1/4 throttle or 1/2 throttle it spits and sputters, it has power, but it sounds like crap but it doesnt have that much power either. its not a smooth speed its jumpy and squirly. can someone help me out? what do i need to do to my jetting besides lean off the needle jet a little bit? thanks

greg
