is it a good idea to go with a single carb for the RAPTOR???

Default is it a good idea to go with a single carb for the RAPTOR???

and what advantages / disadvantages would there be?

It would have been a lot cheaper for yamaha to go with single carb, so if it would have been better, don't you think they would have done it.

click on MZ Scorpion on the left side button bar.
click on MZ single carb.

Coming from Yamaha? No, I dont think so.

Maybe this is one of the reasons why a raptor is 6500$

blueleader...Do u know if that is out yet, if so do you know of anyone with it. I would be interested if it is enough to replace the 2 stock ones.

Does anyone have any experience with the Edelbrock Quicksilver single carb kit for the Raptor? I have heard that they are tough to jet on a banshee. Is the Raptor better. I have an Edelbrock on my hot rod '71 Camaro Z-28 and I love it. Anyone with some insight?

The single carb works pretty good for the DS, But I wonder how the single carb would effect the Rappy's 5 valve head??? Since one carb has to be richer than the other, would it mean that one big carb would'nt flow right???maye causing unbalance fuel mixture in the head. Hmmmmmmm.
