The dyno chart, Raptor guys will find this intresting. Piped VS Piped would be very close I know the Raptor gains a lot but HMF has a pipe for the Predator that's said to gain 8HP that's right at 50HP when piped.

 

mohave- those dyno numbers mean nothing really. The raptor is suppose to be almost 50hp piped. LOL

That said the article said the predator had 6 hp on the raptor at 42.

42-6=36HP for the raptor. I have not seen a stocker dyno that high. My 2003 made 30.92( a little low) a 6hp increase on either quad is a BIG IMPROVEMENT.

14min, dont forget that it is torque, not HP that pulls a bike, quad, or any motorized vehicle down the strip. HP means absolutely nothing and is derived from torque at 5750rpms. That is why the 660 runs even (or maybe better) than the smaller 500 even though it is down on HP. The torque curve is better on the Rappy thus making it accelerate good. If your making big HP numbers, you are making big torque numbers as well, it is just finding out how to put it to good use.

going to sand drags on the end of the month, i will post some E.T. times and mph on the predator. right now mine runs with the piped banshees with stock porting so it should run 5.7 in the 50's mph.
my raptor with a very simular set up ran a best of 5.8 at 48-50 mph. My raptor dynoed at 42 hp with k&n fmf slipon and a jet kit.
the predator feels faster by the seat of the pants. will know for sure last saturday of the month!

Are the magazines bias, most definately yes. But if you think opinions on here are less bias good luck! An easier question is to ask the guy your talking to what quad he is riding, 9 out of 10 times the answer to that question will be the same as the answer to which is faster!

The only way you will know for sure is when you see it yourself!
