Automotive dept. at walmart has some air craft stripper. Buy that and follow directions. Once u get paint off, u can sand starting with probably like a #220 grit sand paper. Then keep working you way sanding with something like 220, 320, 400, 600, 800, 1500, then 2000 grit sand paper. after u do 2000 it gets easier to polish. You can get a polishing kit for like 20 bucks from sears and home depot. Just follow the directions and polish till it looks chrome.

I did it, I took the covers off and it took a few days to do in my off time. I used a drill with the polishing kit. Dremel with a little polishing wheel would work but probably take alot longer. I have pics on imagestation.

make sure you getthe arcraft tripper you brush on, then use 1500 grit ot 220!wtf your no sanding a woode fence. It took me about a half hour. let the strippr set then wipe off then apply again, wet sand with 1000 grit then 1500. check out velociraptors quad on the compound website.

depends on the metal. My covers had some rough spots, so i startded with 220. If i would have just used 1500 i would still be there tring to sand them out.
