I am having one hell of a time trying to get grease in the U joint on my front drive shaft. The joint at the differential is no problem but the one near the engine is impossible to get grease into the Nips did not let anyroom to get in there. I tried using a grease needle but you still cant get at the dam thing . I tried standing the quad on the rear rack so I did not have to stand on my head. Still I can not get grease in the joint. Does anyone know of a paticular trick to doing this.

 

I found a small gease tube at AUTOZONE. It has a small fitting on the end and you pump it with your hand. It is only about 6-8" tall and about as round as a golf ball.

 

hambone, this was the first question I asked the Yamaha rep. for our area and he tells me that if you put the grease fitting at 5 o'clock and attack it from the left hand side you can get it. I have been doing this and beleive I am getting grease into the joint. I guess I'll know when I tear it apart. ( not anytime soon I hope). Good Luck!
