Default Front end upgrade help

I'm looking to improve my entire front end. Shocks, a-arms, brake cables. Ive been looking at the ALBA Pro-comp a-arms (+2w, +1f) and they seem to be a really good deal. Fully adjustable and made with all the same parts as other more expesive arms, also a lifetime warranty. My question is, has anybody ridden with these and are they the same type of ride as the more expensive ones? Also i was looking at the Works tripple rate shocks which are considerably cheaper than other companys. Are these shocks not near the quality of the higher brands like Elkas or Axis? And if not, are the Works Pro-series shocks (still cheaper than others) a better way to go? I ride only mx also. Thanks.

one of my friend have those and he like it. For the money they are worth as long you don't planning do serious racing then it worth it.

Yes the work shock is a step below of Elkas and Axis. If you want to do some racings I would go with the Pro serie shocks as long it fit your budget.

Denver...go for it!!! I do serious MX racing on my '02 Rappy and have the Alba set up.(Pro-Comps, Works Triple-rate and Galfer steel brake lines.) The ride is much more stable and smoother than stock while jumping and cornering. I also do desert races and the Alba set-up handles whoops like a trophy truck. I highly recommend if you want an excellent set-up for your Rappy, go with the Pro-Comps.

My set of procomps will be here friday! I can't wait.

I couldn't afford the shocks right now, but I only weigh 135lbs, so I don't think that they are a priority. I also got some graphite spacers for the rear. Anyone ever use those? I figured that they would work until I could get an axle.

Thanks for the input. You guys runing the +1 forward setup?

Psycho, do you ever have a problem with bottoming out off the bigger hits with this setup? Also, what width axle are you running?

Doc, I heard the spacers are good as long as you dont get really big air....good luck.

No, never bottomed out. The only time I hit was flying over some nasty rocky sections. I run the +1 forward and it helps with high speed whoops or obstacles. I have the Durablue Eliminator 2+2. The rear total width lines up with the front ones with the Pro comps installed...
