Default different fuels???

i have a 2003 shee and i wanted to know if running a higher octane fuel gives a noticable power increase? also if i run race gas what do i have to do, or can it be used in my stock shee? no one where i live uses it, so please explane if it is worth it, and if it is safe to do??

You can run higher octane fuel, but if your engine does not need it it will do you no good.

You are better off running the lowest octane fuel you can without detonation occuring.

I usually run premium pump gas with no problems. I am going to be doing some engine mods and will most likely need to run race fuel after all the work.

Default different fuels???

ok, well i have pro flow system, and i want pipes. i am thinking about just saving up and getting trinitys stage 2 or 3 kit. that way i get pipes, and the jetting they recomend, with the headwork. would this be good, or not worth it, i want it to run strong enough to beat the stupid piped cocky raptors, but i don't know what is best to do??/

There are so many alternatives it is hard to say what is good and bad. I would pick a buider, say trinity and call them and talk to them about your needs.

Living back east, you probably dont want a dune or drag port job unless you are drag racing. A builder can put together a package that will work for your needs.

Or, you can do it like me and buy a bunch of parts, and then try to figure it all out. Actually I have a good running machine right now, but I am about to take it to the next level and it gets expensive fast.

Talk to some builders about different options. Obviously the first step is a pipe, and filter mod (which you have done) and jetting. That will beat most rappys.

Then you can do head mods, or cool head, and then porting, and crank work, and pistons, and on and on .

check out the bansheehq.com site, and planetsand.com they have good info also.

Running a race fuel is for motors with increased compression and timing mainly. Those two aspects (timing and compression) when increased will cause detontaion. What the higher octane in the fuel does is prevent detonation. So if your running a basically stock shee right now race fuel is not needed. If you have for example trinity cut your head to run a high compression then yes you'll want to run a race fuel. If you go to advance your timing then i would run race fuel. By just running pipes and a filter you dont need a race fuel, just premium would do you fine. If you tell trinity to set your motor up to run race fuel then you should run it
