I would look at what the manufacturer recommends for that oil.
I am unfaniliar with that particular brand, but you can't just go by the same ratio someone else uses.

Also as a general rule, the smaller the CC's, the more oil you want in your gas.
thanks but, he has the SAME quad as i do so, it should be fine

He may have the same quad, but is he using the same OIL?
THAT was my main concern.

Two different oils cannot necessarily be mixed at the same ratio.

Also, JETTING will have as much or more affect on fouling plugs than the amt of oil you are using (to a certain extent).

Wow! The quotes are getting a little out of hand! LOL!!

Like I said, I am not familiar with that brand of oil, so I would go with what the manufacturer tells you, or just go with a well known fully synthetic brand.

Others here have listed some good brands with appropriate ratios too.

I am just listing my own experiences with oils I have used.

Golden spectro @ 40:1
Amsoil 2000 fully synthetic @ 50:1

2fun is correct, you should go by what the oil manufacturer reccommends.

2fun, how do you like that amsoil. I was just over at one of my local shops, and they had it, and of course were singing its praises. What do you pay for a gallon?

I might have to give it a try sometime.

I don't buy it by the gallon. I buy it by the 32oz bottle for 9 bucks here locally.
Takes care of 12 gallons if mixed @ 48:1

Actually saves me more money than if I used the Golden spectro @ 40:1, and I feel it gives me better protection since it is a fully synthetic.
I really can't say enough good things about it. It's all I'll use anymore.

I've also heard testimony from mechanics that have no affiliation with the company Amsoil itself.

I appreciate the info, at the place here, a gallon was $35. So that is not too bad. About the same you are paying.

Does it smoke alot? How does it smell?

Thanks
Bat

If you are jetted correctly, it really doesn't smoke at all.
Smells fine to me!

Don't know if I could associate the smell with any certain flavor or anything like that.......

Heck, you could always add some of that 2-stroke scent stuff in there if you really wanted! LOL!!

Yeah, I dont really care what it smells like. But I have had some bikes go by me and whatever they are burning just stinks. It is probably just some weedeater oil or something like that.

I dont want anything like that.
