Blaster Timing
#1
Does anyone know how to time a Blaster? I had mine rebuilt, and sense I got it back it has run like crap. All of the bottom end seals were changed, so they had everything apart. It ran great up until it blew.

If the stator assembly moves you can change the timing. If it doesn’t, you could drill out the screw holes and make them slots. You could then adjust it. If I had a Blaster, I would do it that way rather than spend 25$ for an offset key (degree key). You could also find a key that is too wide and shave the sides to make it offset.
2 of my friends installed a Vito’s degree key at the same time and both melted a piston within 10 hours of riding. I think 4 degrees is too much advance unless you’re building a drag bike. You can’t run it like that for long periods on regular fuel.
