done the break in process after installing 11:1 piston and stage 1 hotcam and had the valves set according to the specs on the sheets.is it just me or are they to loose.i had the rpm's up during the break in and they were rattling like crazy.when i adjust them can i tightem them up a little more than the specs say or will it damage the motor??

Tony from Hotcams has answered this before. He says you can go .001 tighter. I have read where others who have set them tighter than that like .005 intake and .006 exhuast and have said they have had no problems. I personaly have set mine to .007 intake and .009 exhuast and it helps quiet them some. I'm going to go .006 and .008 next adjustment. I'll be doing that this coming weekend. I got the same setup & went thru the same scenario. The valves, they were a banging.....try 006 intake & .008 exhaust, works nice! You'll notice in the instructions they say to adjust them between the recommended(very loose) to a little looser than stock(perfect). Most people seemed to have settled on the above settings either by experience or by word of mouth so there are many of us using those settings problem free.
