Wazzer does this only happen when the bike is cold???????
I have found that when my bike is cold the slides stick a little. Sometimes if you loosen the top caps just a hair it will solve the problem. I dont mean loose loose just a hair!!!!!!!!!!!.
I can almost hear the replies now!!!!!!!!
You can also pull the slides out and make sure they a clean. Find a spray that contains teflon and that will leave a residue. Spray the slides, let them sit a bit and put it back together.
What we have found is the coating on the slides wear off over time. I dont think they coated the slides for looks, they must of had a binding or a wear problem.
This has worked for me and 2 other buddies. You have to do it every so often.
Hope this helps.

If it is idling high after giving it throttle it is either a sticky slide or throttle cable or a lean condition caused by an dair leak or improper jetting/air screw adjustments.
I would take my air cleaner off and wick the throttle a few times and see if a slide is sticking. If that's no tthe case then simply turn in the air screws and see if it gets better. If it gets better it's a lean idle condition. The lean idle could be the jetting or an air leak - that's up to you to find out.
