This is a bias decision...but go for the Rappy.....[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

Figured I would get some bias in the Yamaha forum but my primary concern is the long term reliability of the 02 & 03 Rappys. I am spoiled by the low maintenance on the 400EX and selecting a second bike for the stable is more difficult than I anticipated. I guess we should be happy there are choices ........ Remember when our only choices were a 300ex or a Banshee [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Don't forget the Warrior! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] But I'd deffinatly say the Raptor, all the ones made after 2001 are built very good.

The only Raptors that are unreliable are the '01's. The '02 and '03 are golden. My wife has a 250ex and my Rappy is almost as low maintenance as hers. Also, if I were to worry about one of the bikes reliability, it would be the Z/kfx. First year bikes are kinda scetchy. The raptor has awsome power and speed. With a few mods it can handle as well as any other quad, and you put that along with the potential of the power it has and theres not much that can hang with it!

 

Can we say Z400?

i heard at my dealership last night that theres a new raptor coming out next year. its going to have a style change and lighter. they said the z is to close.
