I usually hear to do it before every ride. Ive read a few times on here that you only need to do it like once every 20 hours or so. Just curious which one of these is more correct. Thanks. Its a stock filter as well.

My suggestion is: more than you can. I don't think you can clean your filter enough. I ride in sand, change it after every 2 rides, my builder said that I need to do it mroe often. Do it every chance you get.

i clean mine with every oil change.......

i change the oil about every 10-20 hours.........
and clean the filter

unless the filter really need it before that

i was told to the air filter and carbs after every ride, i do, and it rides great, i used to clean it once every 2 rides an it was full of mud and water and it kept spluttering, but now, after a gd clean, it runs good
