should I sell my 400EX, and get a new Raptor?

I'm curious about the Raptor... to the point where I'm probably gonna buy one...
But if I do (since I ride a 400EX now) it sounds like I'm going to be impressed with the power, but dissapointed with the handling, huh?
I didn't think I'd be that dissapointed, if at all, since I don't race MX or anything.... I mean, my EX is set up as soft as it will go for trail riding... so I was thinking even a more plush ride, more power, narrower stance for tight trials, and reverse would be right up my alley..... no???
and I doubt I'll do many mods... probably a K&N air filter, jet kit, snorkel trimming, remove quiet core and spark arrestor, and maybe go up one size on the front sprocket for more top speed if I think it will still have enough low-end for the steep hills

I love my raptor, she can be kind of tippy stock, but you just have to use more body english. My buddy rides a DS and it is a cool ride. We both have the same mods(paddles..ect..) and we are always neck to neck racing, so look into the DS also. I personally didn't like the DS when I rode it at the dealership.

Go for it the Raptor is a great trail bike. I don't find mine to be tippy at all in the woods.

Just going by what you have written I would think you would like it. I don't find mine tippy but it might have something to do with my age because I just don't go as extreme anymore. The added power just adds to the fun factor. I know at our place in the woods we have a hill where you can get going up it fast and your pinning the throttle and that boom, boom, boom feeling under you just feels so good.
As far as not coasting I haven't really noticed that.
I won't be changing the gearing anytime soon on mine its fast enough.
