STUPID STUPID BANSHEE MOTOR!!
I just got home from riding for 2 days, and my banshee is acting retarted. I was going up a long hill and shifted into 4th, and all of the sudden the right cylinder went out. No more power. I took out the plug and inspected it, it looked ok, but I decided it'd be best to get another. I got a B8Ev (very good), gapped it to 30, and it still wouldnt work. I checked the gas lines going to the right carb, and they are all connected. What else could have went wrong? And of course, 2 raps, 2 ex's and a Z and Kfx rolled in, and I had a 175cc loser pos banshee. So that burnt my toast a little....

that stinks.. well.. I guess I will do an update when I test the compression..
oh, and when I had the right spark plug out, the motor would still run. In this top end job, do I need to replace only the piston on the right hand side, or both? Do I need to get it bored? or just new piston and rings?

yeah well, those stupid queef's only raced me like 5 times. and most of the time, i couldnt get any grip. so i lost. except the one time i blew the one dudes 400EX, the yellow Z, and his buddy's EX. but when i did get grip i was pretty much even most of the time, unless i missed a shift or something retarted like that.

sorry jakal, i doubt its the reeds, seeing it did lose a whole lot of compression. when he started it to put it in the garage, the left cylinder had a lot more of air pressure shooting out of the pipe than the right did. two strokes arent that hard. i think they're easier than 4's, but definatly not easier to keep running. seeing i had to have kopek on his kodiak tow me up the hill, so i could get moving and put iti n gear to start it. but it think it was the plugs fault. it usually isnt that hard to get running.
