It was a 10 hr. service for my Raptor. All they did was change the oil, adjust the valves, and lubed. The cost? $178.00. Never having to go back to dealer for service?!?!...PRICELESS!!!

On a two stroke, there should be no 10 or 20 hour service. About the only thing they could do would be to change the trans oil, and maybe adjust the chain and lube it. I dont know what else they would do.

Just thought I would expand on that, the reason 4 strokes have 10 hour services mainly is to adjust the valves. After a few hours of service, they can and will usually change a little, hence needing adjustment to bring them back into spec.

Dont take it into the dealer for a 10 hour service, save your money.

A whole lot of BS and thats about it. About a year and a half ago, I bought my wife a 2000 Blaster for my wife and after we had put around 20 HRS on it, it started having rear brake problems, they were sticking.
I took the quad into my local Yamaha dealer and and told them that I needed the first servicing and the rear brakes were sticking. Two days later I picked it up and they had changed the oil, " serviced it " AKA changed the spark plug and placed rubber mounts in between the fins on the motor and who knows what else besides adjusting the brakes and I walked out of there after paying almost $ 200.00

Needless to say, I realized that when it comes to Yamaha servicing my quad for oil changes, I will do it myself for a fraction of the cost....

Don't get me wrong, I'll still take our quads in for major problems that may occur in the future but not for there " servicing "
