Default one way bearing replacement questions

I am trying to replace my one way bearing on my 03 Raptorand have run into a problem. I removed the cover, and broke the flywheel loose from the shaft with a puller and then this is where I ran into my problem, it is free on the shaft and I can move it back and forth but it will not pull off the shaft all the way, if I look in there appears to be some kind of washer maybe at the beginning of the threads on the shaft on the inside. Do I just need to pull it the rest of the way off with the puller or is there something I am missing? I didnt want to try that untill I looked into it some more, the manual seems fairly vague as to how to do it. Thanks Marc
