Just a guess but I would think he is talking about the smaller stage 1 cam.

i am not a raptor guy as tou all know i am a ds guy butttttt my wifes raptor is great now i really enjoy riding it i hope she lets me do more because the potencial is beyond belief with this craycraft kit if she will let me you all will see a rappy fly .[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

i talked to bob the other day,what a super nice guy.gave me some advice on my 11:1 and stage 1 cam but it seems like i should have went with the 686.
maybe when this one goes the craycraft 686 will be the way to go.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

mine is in the process as we speek. They have my top end and my tranny is apart and just waiting for parts that bob is getting for me also. Cant wait to get it running again. Gonna be a 686 with 12:1 and stage 2. Also getting some chrome done, should be done in a week or so.

I would like to modify the wife's 03 Black n Red. How much does that 686 run?

I will probably stay stock bore, if anyone has a 11:1 for a stock bore and possibly a mild cam collecting dust after going to a 686 let me know.

 

A motor like samcoeds runs about 1000 dollars. For that price you get the port/polish, back cut stock valves, new valve seals, JE piston,boring@honeing,Cam, High Pressure headgasket,jets,pilots. Ready to install. That combo will out run most built rappys out there.

 

I don't have an 11:1 stock bore piston..but I do have a 12:1 stock bore piston with hardly any time on it at all! I also have a carillo rod and 5 oversized valves for sale..looking for a new home[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
