umm, you can wash K&N filters. But for dust mainly go foam. K&N will let some dust through becuase they let more air through. In sand K&N is the only way to go. Stops sand great, where foam filters get clogged with sand. You should have more than one filter. Maybe buy one of both.

Its called K&N filter cleaner and water. Then use the K&N filter oil after it dries.

K&N with waterproof outerwear all the way, for any riding condition. imo

Better air flow, Very good air filter protection and way easier to clean, no mess no fuss.

Okay im going to dissagree with you here I run NO AIR BOX and the foam filter and my filter never gets clogged I also run the outerware that came with it .

I will agree that oiling the filter kinda sucks but Its just another chore on the list like changing the oil.

When it comes to real dusty conditions I guarantee that a foam filter will filter better than a K&N with or without outerwear. Foam doesn't flow as much air but it has a LOT more surface area to catch dust. K&N with outerwears are great for sand, foam without outerwear for dust is my preference.
