Help Convince My Wife!
Ok, how about a woman's point a view on this? First of all, do you have a fit when she wants to buy something i.e. furniture etc??? If you don't have a fit when she wants to buy something, then I don't think it's fair for her to not let you buy something. And if you have a job and bring in money, and you have the finances available to handle buying a 4 wheeler, life is too short to put off doing things you want to do. Plus, sounds like you have an older 4 wheeler - doesn't sound like this is a yearly purchase for you. Just be honest with her, women see right through the ol' dining and romancing - think she'd prefer just you honestly saying how much you want this.
My man bought me a 4 wheeler shortly after we started dating so he could involve me.....he does go every now and again without me when I have my boys, which is fine, even tho I hate not getting to go, I realize he needs his thing too every now and again.

When I bought my first quad a couple months later I bought my wife one too. That was one of the biggest mistakes I ever made. The first time out she liked to play in the mud but did not like to go fast or quick and she would not listen to me. I tried to explain to here about going up and down the hills and she told me she new how and for me to shut up.
2nd trip out she was thrown over the handle bars going down a small decline. I don't know how she did it without flipping or rolling the Quad. The little Bayou ran over her causing 2 broken ribs, and bumps and bruising. That was back in April 01 and she still brings it up in my face saying it was my fault.
My feelings are do not get her a quad, that is your time to yourself and with your friends. I even went as far to buy a quad that I couldn't even double her on. I weigh 200 lbs and she weighs 135 lbs and I told her it was too much weight with the two of us on it. She also hates manual shift too
Give her a choice a $15000 Bass Boat, $10000 GSX1300R, OLD CHEVY truck to restore say you'll put about $12000 in it, HD Fatboy or Lowrider for $16-18000, or the $7000 660 Grizzly. She would be dumb to choose anything else but the quad.

sorry guys im with Gary on this...pouting is not an option. Align with her and tell her you've come to your senses. instead of a new quad...tell her your Buying new plastic to freshen up your old ride. show her the catlouge for fullbore grizzly plastics. When she gives you the okay...just go out and buy the grizz and ask what she thinks of the new plastic.
Heres some advice i try to live by...it applies to alot:
"for an individual to reach any kind of signifacant goal in their life...they must leave their comfort zone".
i find when it comes to marriage...it easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to get permission. wifes are like negotiating with terrorists...bad idea...you'll regret it down the line and pay a heavy toll.
hell, you've got a kid now...that makes you Daddy...who's the daddy? (reply Loudly: "im the daddy")...again...who's the Daddy?!...CMON MAN AGAIN...WHO'S THE F'n DADDY?!!...thats right, YOU! You bad ***** F'er...you the Daddy! Now go out their make us proud and lay down Daddy's dough. go! go! go!
PM me after you've completed the deed...i'll need to edit this post off the forum...my wife would kill me if she read this. thanx

Just tell her that she can go and buy something new if she wants. I did and I am still paying for it example the 2 2001 items in my garage. My wheeler is payed for but the truck, well lets say I won't be getting any extras for the wheeler anytime soon. I tried to upgrade this year to a new wheeler but then she told me that the new HEMI Dodge is coming out also.
No new wheeler for me.

Hehehehe...I guess I am a lucky man! We have 5 quads in our houshold. An '01 Raptor, '99 400EX, '92 Quadracer 250, '99 Kawasaki 220, and a '02 LT 50.......that covers just about everyone, and get this, I have my wife convinced that I need a TRX250R to boot! She agree's and gave me no lip about it, in fact, she encourages me to get what I want. She says as long as we're not doing without anything we need that it's OK with her!
Of course, it took me 2 tries to get it right.....wife that is.....my first wife constantly complained about me and my quads. When it came down to choosing between the two...well, lets just say that's why I'm re-married!
