Don't get an 01 Raptor! I trail ride and would assume too ride a mild Banshee as my mild Raptor.....seriously. The Raptor has arm-jerking torque that can mislead oneself into thinking it's a better trail quad.

If that is the case, then the banshee is the better machine. But too each his own.

I dont really think that the price of oil should hold you back.... ITs not really that bad.. just wait till you have to pay to fix the tranny on one of those craptors... and as for drag racing... stick with the banshee... bore it and put long rods in it... thats all u need..

Well I happen to own both of Yamaha's greatest atv's. I can tell you one thing its cheaper to get a Banshee to haul a$$, than a Raptor. If you like trail ridding go with the Raptor. If you like all out speed with no turns and strait roads stay with your Banshee.

I would not sell either one of them, Both are very fast, but I feel the Banshee is more stable at high speeds. Hope this helps!!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

You ask for our opinion, but you sound like you have your mind made up. As for jetting, try jetting a raptor. Hope you have some time, pain in the rear. I had both, sold my raptor for another banshee. I will have slightly more then the cost of a new raptor in it and be getting about 70-75 hp at the wheels.

You know what you want to do, so just do it.
