The ds is a tad faster on top but it also comes from the factory geared very low. Geared up a little bit and it flat out hauls a$$ on top!! When I had 22 inch tires I could do around 85 and it was very impressive just by being geared up.

 

my brother has both and there so close it isn't worth asking which one, sit on both and if you still like both pick your favorite color. there is a drop on the raptor from forth to fifth, if they did away with that we don't think the ds would overtake it. the raptor does better out of the hole, but the ds does seem to overtake it after third. as far as mods go my friend has his raptor moded about the same as my ds and there about the same, as the stock ones. there just a lot of fun either one.

 

The DS is a very well built ATV, that can take a lot of abuse. If I had to do it all over again, I think I would gone with the DS. There are a lot of add on products that make this monster fly.

 

I have a Rap and my two buddies have a DS. I kill them on the holeshot (if my nose dosen't point skyward) then they catch up and it's pretty much dead even and I am talkin long distances across the desert. You will be happy with either one. If your 6'10" and weight excess of 250lbs definately go with the Bomb.

 

i think they are totalley diffrent styles of bikes,just sit and you will be able to tell which one you like..

on the speed factor it's a close one.....to close in my eyes..

 

my dad has a raptor and i used to have a DS and they were very close its kinda like those races where who ever gets the hole shot wins. But with the DS you might want to look into a steering stablizer because once you start going it gets a little twitchie.

 

If you have the room in your playing areas, I suggest the DS, if you ride in tight woods or something go ahead with the Raptor.
The DS just has a quality feel the rappy dosent.

Did any1 ask about ur polaris? polaris sucks. The DS makes u feel like ur on a dune buggy its so big! but then again i am 5'7, id go with the raptor its good on top end, trails, hills pretty much anything and it doesnt weigh over 500'wet'lbs like the ds
