Default Degree a camshaft????????

How is it done and where do I get the tools. I was just going to buy a pre done one but they wanted 70 bucks for the pre done sproket. I understand I have to make a new hole for the set pin on the cam to go into but where do I get the tools and what tools do I need to do the actual degreeing.

You still need an adjustable cam spocket. I got one from Alba a few years back.

A slotted stock gear isn't really what I was talking about. I would like to see somebody make a gear, maybe using the stock one, with the amount of degrees you are changing it stamped onto the side of the gear. I just thought this would be something neat if somebody wanted to make a little extra $$$, or some one who already has a shop to do.

You do'nt need to degree the cam when you install it.Changing cam timing will change where your engine makes torque/power.
