Default Banshee shock on Warrior?

Will a Banshee rear shock fit on a Warrior with no modifications? How does it work after the swap?

Default Banshee shock on Warrior?

As far as rear shocks go, I've heard that the resivoir just barely rubs the airbox. I just bought one off ebay to try out. I'm expecting to make some minor modifications to the airbox to make it work. I'll let yall know how it works.

Would anyone that has a Banshee be so kind as to scan in the pages of the owners manual regarding the rear shock, so that I know how to work it? I know how to turn a ****, but it would be nice to know standard, minimum and maximum settings. Also I'm not sure how to adjust the rebound...

Thanks in advance.

Default Banshee shock on Warrior?

Hey guys, I just put a used Banshee shock on my Warrior, and am wondering if the compression adjustment valve is working correctly. I haven't had a chance to ride it yet, but I jumped on the rear end a bit while adjusting the compression **** to both extremes. I didn't notice any change at all...it just feels about like my original shock. I expected to have the shock compress very slowly when set to it's hardest setting, and fast when on it's lowest setting.

Is the compression adjustment something that I'm not going to notice until I try jumping, or is something not working right?

I need to know soon, so I can return it if it isn't working.

Thanks

Okay, here's the results of the rear Banshee shock conversion:

DONT DO IT.

It bolts up perfectly, but it doesn't just rub the airbox, it hits it.

It looks like a small rub while the weight is off the wheels, but if you compress the spring fully, you will find that the airbox modifications are extreme. I tried, and now have a huge hole in my airbox that I have to cover up. I stopped while I still had enough flat surfaces to make a good seal, hopefully my plastics shop experience back in Jr. High will save my butt now!

Does anyone have an un-molested Warrior airbox they want to part with?
