Default Pro Design shifter for Raptor

I have about 10 hours of riding on my new raptor and there is already some slop in the shifter linkage. This setup is kinda a joke. I have researched all the one-peice shifters on the forums and the Pro Design looks like the winner. Just wanted to hear from those who have them and how you like them.

Does it improve the shifting feel and has it held up to abuse? I sometimes have problems getting mine into reverse or back into first from reverse. I have ajusted my clutch and it helped alot. Thanks.

I have the over priced Roll Design shifter and it does feel better than stock. The throw seems a bit farther but you get used to it. I find it easier to get into neutral and it just plain feels better. I think IMS has a direct replacement shifter that doesnt look as good as the Roll or pro design but it's in the under $30 range.

I paid 100 for prodesign shifter and case saver. I love it, alot easier to get into neutral.

will this shifter without the linkage help reduce mis-shifts? I just got my tranny replaced again, and don't want to be down anymore..........

yes, what they said. and i havent missed a shift yet. remember, the throw is slightly longer, but youll be used to it in a few minutes. easy to find neutral now too. worth the bucks.

i tryed one and really did not like it. i could not get used to the longer pull of the shifter i guess if u take your time to up shift it would be fine, but if your trying to race i woud just forget it. i have had the stock one for over a year with no problems. yeh its loose but it was loose when i got it off the showroom floor.

I have the Roll Design and love it, fit to finish is perfect. I did notice you have to tighten pretty tight to get where theres no slop, but then you shift nicely and neutral is a breeze to find.... I feel it makes a huge difference and it should have been oneo f the first things I got my rappy

The IMS is cheap and all the people that have them wish they had the Roll

The Pro Design I didn't like because it aluminum and it has alot of flex in it and the aluminum comes off on yor shoe or boot

I had the IMS and hated it. I like the idea but have not tried the Roll designs shifter, just don't buy the IMS one, it is too weak and just feels sloppy.

I bought the cheap steele one off of Ebay and I really like it. Depending on what kind of riding you do, if you gear it down you can mostly start out in second and you don't have to worry about shifting from first, past neutral, into second.
Get the cheap one and see if you like it. You can always get the $100 one later.

I have to agree with cb2000warrior. I have the pro design one and for racing its just too long of a throw. I raced at Southwick MX338 this weekend, and as usual the track was brutual. So many holes and giant bumps that it was extremely difficult to get your foot up under the shifter long enough to make that long throw. Trying to figure out what to do now, not too excited about going back to stock.
