need help with tire choice for grizz
#1
need help deciding what to do for aftermarket tires for my grizz.......I want a little wider stance to improve off-camber stability....should I go with wider aftermarket tires or should I just buy 1" spacers and stay with stock size aftermarket tires? I don't want to go with anything taller than 26" because I don't want to worry about needing a lift kit. Also, if I buy larger tires do I need to buy larger wheels too or will my stock wheels work? What is a good tire for mud etc. ? And what is the largest tire I should run without having to worry about damage to any components such as axles and belt? Any personal experiences or advice would be appreciated.

I have the ATR's on C series. They work awsome. Great in mud, sand, and hard pack. You just can't wear them down. They also gave me 4inches in width. The Grizzly is a whole different machine.

you can get c series rims from highlifter. they offset your quad 4 inchs. my stance went from 46 inchs to 50 inchs!!! big handling differance.
for tires, i have 26 inch titan 589 m/t rubber. great tire!!!! good traction in mud, hardpack, and slushy conditions. the 26 inch keep most stock power, and are all around great performance tires.
the offset rims are one of the best purchaces i have made though!!! i needed fender flares to keep most the mud out of my helmet after installing them, but the handling differance is 10 fold!!
good luck!!

i have the 26" itp 589's on my grizz, best mod i have ever done. they bite the trail so you can go fast around sharp turns, and have superior traction. i hightly recommend these tires to anybody, and when they wear out ii will be getting the same thing again. they have excellent wear life too. i have about 750 miles of road riding and 1000 miles of trail on them and there is hrdly any wear on them.
