Default Stupid atv accidents??

Buy now most know about ernie's misfourtune and the mobile home. What about yours??

A few of mine-

1. Decided to ride my lakota onto the flat bed trailer at 15 mph. Popped the front end up and i was over. The problem was the rear stidpate, it hit the trailer and stop. Into the bars i went. Bad idea, i never tried that again.

2. Unloading from the bed of my truck onto the drive way. The ramp came out. Very bad idea. I know pull my truck into a ditch i built on my property. I hate those dam ramps

3. Whoops at kermit. I lost it and the peg cut the crap out of my leg as the rear tire ran over my foot. Remedy- i installed nerf bars.

i have done more but this is a start.

Default Stupid atv accidents??

I was watching football all day a few months back, drinking beer and my wife left to go to the store, so I was drunk, hopped on my quad, started riding up and down the street, I come home, go to put the quad in the garage and hit our car. The next day I go out and look at it and thought of what a stupid jack-a$$ I was to do that. Didn't damage the car that bad, but I could of been easily killed. That was stupid...

Midnight rides at Glamis with 30mph winds and zero visibility, zero sense of direction, zero brain cells, zero coordination, zero fear, zero gas! oops.

have managed to come off the ramp TWICE now loading into the 4X4 , its pretty tall. 1st time the rappy came over and pinned me on th ground, second time blaster and i slid off the side [icy]. so now i have a couple short chains with hooks, and a portable boat winch, and it only takes a minute to hook it up and winch the damn thing into the truck. safer too! OK i'm a klutz. now everyone knows!

My best to date...

Doing a wheelie, shifting into 3rd, and looping it. Not only was it on pavement, but I didnt have a helmet on, and the friggin grab bar did nothing. I ended up bending both rear rims, bending the bars, breaking clutch lever, bending the axle, and breaking off the on/off switch..

NO GOOD!

I've got one that happenned about a year ago.....I stop for a break atop a small hill. I get on the Rap, pull the clutch in, roll backwards towards my left too turn around.....drop into a small ditch and the machine flops over on it's side. I wound up diving downhill too get away from the machine. Been riding for YEARS......so whats up with rookie mistakes? Haha.

Hitting a trailer for no reason, I really did not mean to hit it. I tried like hell to stop!!!!

I totaled out a company truck where I use to work at, bent the frame in half. WALKED AWAY from that one also.

I have had my fair share too!

1) Working on one of my bud's ATC 250R's carb one night about 7 years ago. Decided to take her for a spin after to see if I fixed the problem. Well, it was at night and I was hauling down a canefield headland. The 3-wheeler was running real good and I'm pulling a wheelie in third and shifting through. Unknown to me my bud had hit a tree the ride before and bent in the brake pedal.....oops....a little too far back, I tried the brake and missed and I flipped like an olympic gymnist......needless to say I was sore as hell the next day.....luckily no damage to the 3-wheeler!

2) After a night of drinking beer (stupid, I know) I decide to jump on the Raptor and "play" around in the front yard. I was winding out in 3rd and sweeping the yard, caught a bit too much traction and looked like a rag doll being tossed. Bruised ribs and broke a finger. Not bad really and the Raptor made it through with just a slightly bent tie-rod.

3) This past New Years eve at the house while drinking (yes again!). I was talking to my wife in the driveway and decided for some unknown reason(probably the beer) to jump up on the back rack of my daughters Bayou 220. Well, it was wet and I slipped and fell hitting my shin on the rack on the way down. It was funny to everyone else, I could tell by the laughter, but I busted my shin wide open and had a knot on it swollen up to the size of a golfball........ouch!!!!!!....stupid, stupid, stupid!!!!!!!

i hit my brother this winter. we were driving on a dirt road with about 10 inches of snow on it, hes in front of me on the 400EX, he stops to check something, and i couldnt stop cuz of a huge ditch on the side of the road. i slam right into the back of him. luckily the plastic only got scratched a bit. the tires hit each other, so no damage

nothin too bad for me luckily. The only thing i could say was when i had my warrior and i kept going on this "track" in a local field where one of the turns was between two sets of swings. And yes i was doing it legally. I was pushing the limits more and more, well needless to say i went into the turn too fast between the swings and i stupidly jammed both brakes causing me to go straight instead of turn and by the time i let go of the front it was too late to complete the turn and i went right into the post of the swingset.

After all the adrenaline went away abouut an hour later, i had a sore wrist and foot. I got out pretty lucky. and there was only a little dent on my a arm.
