I would get my Quad back and send it to a real performance shop for a good engine upgrade. I know that it is less than a year but it's not under warranty, so they probibly wont do much for you. P.S. Install a Pro Desighn water pump impeller.

LOWBOWTIE is right. Get out of there quickly. I have a lemon raptor...does anyone know where I can get giant lemon stickers? I'm not joking! I'm gonna plaster it with lemon stickers! One day I'm gonna put a freestyle ramp in front of Yamaha of America and jump the thing right into somebody's office. Don't worry it will be all over the TV when I finally snap...so everyone will get to see the footage.

Yamaha dealers are as bad or worse to deal with than Yamaha directly. If you didn't get an extended warranty then I'd look into taking it to a reputable shop like someone else suggested. $2000 is ridiculous. Your biggest expense will be buying the crank and labor, and a top end kit. The other misc parts arent bad. A crank and top end will end up about $500. A shop here locally did the same thing on a friend of mines banshee, crank, topend, boring and all that. They charged him $1200 and he bought the crank himself. I was like dude you got jacked, my dad coulda done it for a lot less.

I was told you could not get and extended warranty for the banshee (by yamaha)... I did get a letter on my blaster to buy out more warranty but never anything on the shee....

Yamaha is giving me the crank, waterpump and 3 hours of labor but the dealership is not including that in their qoute and I talked to Yamaha about that and at this point it's looking like the dealership is being shady about this...
The qoute has all yamaha part numbers on it but they said the piston are gonna be aftermarket but they are charging me yamaha's price!!! And to top it off they want to bore 30 thousandths out! WHAT!!!!!!

AHHHHHHH!
