A dyno or dynometer is a machine that you actually strap the whole bike onto and it will give you the measure of the rear wheel hp or the power that actually gets to the ground. The rear wheel hp is usually quite a bit less than the crank hp which is probably the numbers that you came across.

yep those high numbers were from the crank. My statement of origin on my 660 said 41.5 hp, and that was obviously from the crank. I thought the P650 was 42 or something. Never knew what the 700 was.
