Default new owner, new problems

I just bought a 2000 grizzly 2 months ago. ever since I have had this machien their seems to be a new problem every time I ride it. The first couple problems were pretty minor and I was able to fix them. The last couple times after I have been riding for a while. When I would take a break and turn off the machien for a couple minutes. When I start riding again it sputters a couple times like it is out of gas or something and then it will keep going fine. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem or something like it and could give me an idea what might be happening and how I might fix the problem. I would like to get it fixed now because with my luck it will keep getting worse and leave me stranded out in the bush. My only guess is that it might be caused by heating up while riding. Thanks for any help you can give me.
