Default My times from the Texas Sand Drags

Well, just got back from the Texas sand drags. I saw Crafty and Rex there, along with quite a few more people. Mike and Tammy brooks were there, and Duane Reid (If anyone knows them). Here's some of my times..

1st run

reaction time .408
60ft 2.021
Mph 59.29
ET 5.349

2nd run

reaction .320 (redlighted)
60ft 2.742
MPH 58.77
ET 5.318

3rd run

reaction .503
60ft 2.050
Mph 58.27
Et 5.396

4th run

reaction .482
60ft 2.047
mph 59.28
ET 5.360

I think my 60ft times are a little high, anyone have any ideas of how to improve them? This is my first time ever to race with a tree, I think I am doing pretty dam good with the reaction tmes. Post what you think will help me get better times when I go back tomorrow.

Good thing it wasn't braket racing.

They do seem like good times. I am with 14 on this one, try an extended swingarm. Or at least get a good rythme going. I guess that all comes with time on the tree though.

It's in 300ft sand drags.

Yeah, I am working out a deal with someone on a +4 swingarm, and we are also having wheelie bars made as we speak. I'll talk to everyone later tonight when I get home, we're heading back out there, wish me luck.

holy cow! 5.3 is hauling on the big 4 stroke! i would lower the front as low as it will possilbly go. why are your 60ft times so high? are u getting wheelies? maybe your tires need to be replaced (wore out).
you need to get the 60ft times to the 1.8's to 1.9's. you are loosing WAY to much there. once your hooking up out of the hole you E.T. should be 5.1 and mph will probally be the same.

mike and tammy.....you better watch out, they will take your money if you race in their class LOL
i talk to them every time i see them at atoka. i really enjoy watching their bikes go down the track, awsome machines.

work on your 60ft times, your making HP you just not getting it to the ground good in the 60ft.

spongebob go to the site at www.texassanddrags.com

I lowered my times a lot today, I don't have the slips in front of me, but my best time was a 5.1, I had one or two 1.8 60ft times, and I picked up my top speed a bit, it was high 60mph all day. I plan to try and get it down to 4.9 so I can race in the Pro1 class, I will be the only four stroke in the Pro1. I don't think that will be too hard, some riding practice, maybe a tire/gearing change, and a swingarm and wheelie bar, and I think I will be down there. I broke out the first round today, I dialed in a 5.23, and my time was 5.208 but oh well. My dad was running pretty consistent 6.25's on the DS650. As mentioned before, there is no such thing as a fair race against crafty, he is GOOD! I bet he could have my bike in the high 4's. Oh, and I should mention, I was running pro-wedges, not paddles. We took a gander at some nice looking 10 paddle tripple-buffs that we might end up with though.
